Frequently Asked Questions

What makes you different from other photographers?

I think my best characteristic is my ability to create a welcoming, fun session. I’ve been honored to work with more than 100 brides over the past 15 years, and I handle every wedding with grace, precision, and skill. Any last-minute wedding-day pitfalls: I understand them. Tricky lighting issues? I can handle it. Giggly kids? I love them. When you work with me, your wedding becomes your love legacy. A legacy you’ll be able to hold and share for years to come.

How did you get started in photography?

I have always enjoyed photography. I began my photography career in high school taking classes and working for a local photography studio. In college, I studied journalism and worked as a newspaper photographer for three years before I started running my own photography business.

I loved the energy I felt during my first photojournalism assignment, and I've been chasing that dream ever since. I get the same thrill with each wedding ceremony I capture. For the past 15 years, I’ve been capturing these special moments in northern Utah. I love getting to know my couples and their families. I also enjoy leading photography workshops and mentoring new photographers.

What makes your style unique?

I find that being natural is often better than being over processed. I don’t succumb to every photography fad out there. I want my photos to be timeless, so I have a more natural looking exposure and post-processing than some other photographers. You’ll be able to hold one of my photos in 10 or 20 years and not feel that it’s dated.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time is two weeks for engagement and bridal sessions and four weeks for weddings. Around this time we will schedule your viewing and ordering appointment.

How many photos will we get back?

Every session and wedding is different but generally clients can expect 60-90 images for engagement and bridal sessions to choose from and 200+ photographs from the wedding day.

Do you offer professional prints and albums?

Yes! A professionally designed family heirloom album is an easy add on to your wedding package. Archival quality wall art and prints are also available to display larger artwork in your home.

Do you offer digital files?

Yes! Each package includes high resolution digital files that you can download to your computer. You will also get a print release so you can print and share your photos.

Do you travel?

Yes, absolutely, I am based in South Jordan, Utah but I love traveling for weddings. Contact me for additional info on availability and travel rates.

I'm ready to book, what's next?

To book your date, all you need is a signed contract and a $1000 non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is then due 30 days prior to your wedding. Contact me to get started.
