I loved getting to know Sophia and her cute mom. Sophia loves to act, sing and dance. She is also a great student and a wonderful big sister.

I love what her mom had to say about her, “Sophia is always singing and dancing. Music is always on when she’s home. There’s something so wonderful in listening to her sing — fully and wholeheartedly in the moment, without fear to self consciousness.

As the oldest sister, a lot is asked of Sophia. She never really complains, and with her chores at home and her school work, she’s always on top of what needs to be done. Every morning, between when I leave for work and they leave for school, she’s always making sure her sisters are ready, lunches are packed and the pets are cared for. Even if she doesn’t do well on a test or assignment, she knows she can improve. She doesn’t let one bad thing stop her.”

“One of my happy moments with her was when she auditioned for Peter Pan. She is shy by nature but she overcame her shyness and got the part as Michael. I loved watching her perform on stage and see her shyness melt away.” — Sophia’s dad

“Sophia is willing to help her classmates, she does it with confidence, and she makes sure she gets her work done first. I am looking forward to seeing her in more theatrical productions. Anyone can see that this is a passion for her, and I hope she always follows her passions and dreams.” — Kerry Simi, teacher

“She is very kind to her siblings and friends, she is very mature and helpful to her parents, and is happy and can find joy in what she does. I have witnessed Sophia around her sisters. I have seen her give her sisters hugs and consults them when they are sad or crying. Sophia has always been helpful to her parents by helping cook and changing diapers and putting her sisters down for naps. I have enjoyed watching her plays and remember when she played the lead roll as Charlie in Willie Wonka. She smiled, sang and showed so much joy in sharing her talents.” — Brad Warren, grandfather

“Sophia is such a wonderful young woman. I have always felt that she has a special spirit with her. When I am around Sophia I can feel your sweet spirit. She is a blessing to those around her. She brings so much joy wherever she goes. Her smile can light up a room or brighten the stage…” — LuAnn Warren, grandmother

“She is loving, caring and a hard worker. Sophia was staying with us and Lizzy (her sister) got sick and she was so worried about her. She was so loving and cared so much about her. I know what a hard worker she is she is always helping clean the house and she has been in a lot of plays and she really works hard to learn her part and do her best.” — Lori Hancock, grandmother

“Sophia is a very sensitive young woman. Several years back I gave her a journal. She has shared many of the stories she has written in her journal with me. I am always touched by her wisdom and insight. She has encouraged me to write in my journal.” — LuAnn Warren, grandmother
